Here is the Mini-version of the Circle Tab Treat Purse

Hello Everyone,

After I made the Circle Tab Treat Purse, I was asked if I could make another one, smaller, that would use a sheet of 6×6″ paper.  After all, when you cut an 8×8″ square out of paper, you can only get one, even from a 12×12.

So, here is what I came up with when I started with 6×6 paper.

Cute, aren’t they?  They measure 3 3/4″ long, 2 3/4″ tall and are 7/8″ deep.  So, you can use the 6×6 packs, or cut four from a 12×12 paper.

And, you can still fit a good bit of tasty treats inside.  When your recipient wants a taste, they just open the tabs and get to the goodies inside.  To close, just interlock the circle tabs again.  Easy! Continue reading “Here is the Mini-version of the Circle Tab Treat Purse”

A Circle-Tab Closure Treat Purse

Hi Everyone!

Circle Tab Treat Purse

I think this is such a fun treat holder, a treat purse with a closure that reminds me of the “snap” closure on the change purses.

Start with an 8×8″ piece of designer series paper and the envelope punch board.  You will also need the Circle Tab Punch for the closure.  Coordinate your inks with the paper, it is so easy to do with Stampin’ Up!

I hope you enjoy it!  May your days be blessed.  Smiles, Darby

Happy Independence Day-America!

What a beautiful day to honor and celebrate all that we have here in America.  We have so many blessings, and because they were endowed to us by our Creator, no man, nor any government, can take them away.

So, let us celebrate our freedom, and praise God for His providence.

Here is a quick little treat box in honor of the day.  I know I am a bit late, but it will be here for next year, too.  Of course, you can always tweak the colors for other occasions, but here it is…

Independence Day Treat Box: 1″ by 1″ by 4″

The star end of the box flips up to reveal the gumballs inside.  This box holds 4 gumballs that are about 1″ diameter.  These are Dippin’ Dots gumballs that I found at Cracker Barrel.

Here is a picture tutorial for the project:

Whisper white card stock 3″ by 11″:  Score 11″ side at 1″, 2 1/2″, 5″, 6″ and 10″.  Score the 3″ side at 1″ on both sides.

Real red card stock, cut with the Swirly Scribble Thinlit die.

Dapper Denim Star:  The bigger one is the retired Star Punch, the smaller one is from the current Wood Crate Framelits die.

Whisper White card stock: 3/4″ by 3″, stamped in Dapper Denim with “Let’s Celebrate” from the Born to be Loved stamp set.

Whisper White thick baker’s twine, around 16″ (gives room to tie the bow) Continue reading “Happy Independence Day-America!”

Flip Top Treat Box

Flip Top Treat Box: 5″ by 2″ by 1/2″ deep.

I love making packaging, boxes and bags, oh my!

Here is the latest box, and I made it to hold two Mini Cow Tales, a rather tasty treat of chewy caramel with a creamy center.  I had to quickly make enough boxes to use up all of the Cow Tales, or else they would have ended up in my tummy!  (And on my hips, but that is another story.)

I can also see many other treats fitting this box, as well as tissue-paper-wrapped jewelry or key chains.

Here is the video of the project:  Flip Top Treat Box

The box top flips up, and features a stitched oval image from Beautiful You.  The top is secured with a ribbon bow, and each box measures 5″x 2″ and 1/2″ deep.

I use what I have around, so the first one is made from retired card stock.  It is a fun way to use it up, and the Stampin’ Up! colors are always beautifully coordinated, even if they are retired.

Box using retired products:  Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar card stock and ink, Very Vanilla card stock, Beautiful You stamp set, Stitched Shapes Framelits and 3/8″ Very Vanilla Ribbon.
